Stop & Shop proposes up to 1,050 residential units on the site of strip mall.
The Allston Yards proposal includes the building of up to 1,050 transit-oriented residential units to be constructed in two phases. A two phased approach allows for there to be a continuously open Stop & Shop. The first phase will include the first residential building containing up to 360 residential units and the new Stop & Shop, with the remaining units being completed during the second phase in a second residential building. The site is steps from the new Boston Landing Commuter Rail stop and will also include up to 1,400 parking spaces.
This project will meet the city's Inclusionary Development Policy, meaning that it will include the creation of over 130 income-restricted affordable units.
